For those eligible professionals who made the courageous decision to meet meaningful use in 2013, it is now time to stand up and be counted and get paid. The attestation deadline is fast approaching so we have included some useful links and information to help you with the attestation process.

• February 28, 2014 at 11:59 pm ET: Attestation deadline for eligible professionals for the 2013 program year.

The website for registering and attesting is the Medicare & Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration and Attestation System. Not to discourage you but the first message you will see is upon arrival to this site is “Registration and Attestation System Announcement – Due to the large volume of providers attesting, please consider attesting during non-peak hours to avoid system delays.” This is a government program after all.

Before you attest, use these resources to organize your information and to make sure your attestation will be successful:

Meaningful Use Attestation Calculator – Enter your information in this calculator before you attest to see if you are successful. Find out if you have met all the requirements of meaningful use before you submit your attestation to CMS.
Attestation Worksheet for Eligible Professionals – Take the guesswork out of attestation. Use this simple worksheet to organize your numerator, denominator, and exclusion information in one convenient place so that attestation is an easy
process.
