The President signed the SGR fix bill last week that included language delaying ICD-10-CM/PCS implementation. Now, with the President’s signature, ICD-10 has been delayed again until October 1, 2015.

Possible delay in ICD-10 United States House of Representatives passed House Bill 4302. The bill proposes to extend Medicare’s Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) current rate to April 15th, 2015 and would delay other Medicare deadlines. EHR incentive payments soar beyond $19 billion
Strong momentum continues for the meaningful use program as CMS revealed that it has disbursed more than $19 billion in reimbursement incentives. Indeed, there were 440, 998 registered providers participating in the federal electronic health record incentive program as of the end of 2013, with $19.2 billion paid out in incentives, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
